We would like to inform you that Wieslaw Zyznowski, founder of Mercator Medical, has been appointed Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Thailand in Cracow, effective January 3, 2024. This unique honor not only emphasizes his personal commitment to the development of Polish-Thai relations, but also opens a new chapter of cooperation between Poland and Thailand. In this role, he will have the opportunity to support and initiate activities conducive to deepening cooperation on various levels - from economy to culture.

Wiesław Żyznowski’s main task as Honorary Consul will be to promote bilateral relations between Poland and the Kingdom of Thailand. His activities will focus on promoting mutual trade contacts, developing cooperation in the spheres of education, science and tourism. Wiesław Żyznowski will support activities promoting Thai culture in Poland and encourage active participation in events related to Thai culture and art.
It is no secret that Wiesław Żyznowski, as the founder of Mercator Medical, already has a long history of cooperation with the Kingdom of Thailand. The relationship was initiated in 2006, when Mercator Medical made its first investment in a glove factory in Thailand. It was then that the fruitful cooperation between Mercator Medical and Thailand, which continues to this day, began.
The factory, which initially represented a strategic move for Mercator Medical to expand its business in international markets, is now considered one of the greenest glove factories in the world. It has been equipped with advanced technologies such as renewable energy systems, wastewater treatment plants, recycling facilities and a solar farm, making it a model of modern, sustainable manufacturing.
